6 On Mountain Spots Accessible by Foot

No skis, no problem! Here are some fabulous mid-mountain spots you can access by foot (chairlift/gondola) that will have you feeling like you hit the slopes and are high above the clouds!

Deer Valley - St. Regis

This one is technically not mid-mountain, but it is perched up on a massive hill and has phenomenal mountain views. From Snowpark Lodge at the Deer Valley base, find the St. Regis entrance and take the funicular up to the main level of the hotel. From there you have a few options: the indoor bar, the outdoor walk up café and The Vintage Room. All of which have mountain views and small bite options.

Mammoth - McCoy Station

From the Main Lodge, take up the Panorama Gondola up to the top of Mammoth. There you can snap some pics at the famous 24 foot Mammoth Mountain sign. While the top has great views, we'd recommend taking the gondola back to mid-mountain to McCoy station where there is a expansive cafeteria and outdoor bar and patio, Steeps Bar, which has great views of the face of Mammoth. On warmer days, they set out beach chairs on the snow so you can really soak up the sun while sipping your drink. Check Mammoth's Event Calendar for up to date information on experiential and pop-ups events during ski season at McCoy - previous events include DAOU Wines pop up winery and Coca-Cola lounge.

Access: A valid ski lift ticket or foot traffic pass is required to access both lodges.
