Welcome to Park City: the land of skiing, mining, and cowboy hats. Park City, like Snowbird & Alta is a quick 45 min drive up the road from Salt Lake City making it easily accessible from an international airport while also giving you the feeling that you are far away from big city living. Be sure to pack your western gear and furs as tourists really lean into the old western mining aesthetic of this small but charming ski town.

Park City really has it all, from fine dining to delectable bar food (if you could call it that), locally owned boutiques and various winter activities that include: snowmobiling, tubing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Whether you're looking to be on first chair, seeking an outdoor adventure or simply want to sip champagne in an immaculate snow setting - there is something for everyone in your group.

While Park City Resort is made up of two large ski areas: Park City and Canyons, Deer Valley is just a 10 minute drive up the road from Park City DT. All three ski areas fit the need and wants for every level skier and pass! Since Park City Mountain Resort is on the Epic Pass and Deer Valley is on the IKON Pass it makes it super convenient for individuals in large groups to ski their respective areas during the day and reconnect for APRÈS!

Après Ski

*ranked in order from rowdy to chill

The Vintage Room | Deer Valley - St. Regis

This new staple is a real crowd pleaser and is probably the most hype place in town in terms of your traditional après ski scene. A 3:30 arrival will guarantee you a spot in the tent and make sure to not miss the the 6P champagne saber. Nothing like getting the party started with a man in a suit popping a life-size bottle of champagne in front of 300 people! The Vintage Room continues to bring in the best DJs in town to ensure everyone is on their feet dancing until after sunset. Food and drink here is limited but the menu includes upscale items like oysters, champagne, and other craft cocktails.

Tip: The champagne saber typically happens at the outside patio by the firepits and inside on busy weekend days.

Après House Co. | Park City

Founded in 2019, the owner has been bringing pop up après ski parties to private homes and notable vicinities in Park City all winter long! Check their website or Instagram the weeks leading up to your trip to get the latest info on where their next pop up is in town. If you’re lucky, you can request to be on the guest list so you’re not left outside waiting at the door.

The Spur Bar & Grill | Main St. Park City

Shot ski’s anyone!? Head to the backroom where there is live music on weekend afternoons and a typically busy bar scene. The back room has a very traditional honky-tonk vibe where guests can enjoy shooters and shot skis and the restaurant menu has all the food you've been craving after a long day on the slopes.

The Après Lounge | Deer Valley - The Montage

The lounge, otherwise known as 'The Veuve Yurt' is small and exclusive as they can hold no more than 40-50 people at max capacity. While a bit more chill in the early afternoon, this is a fun place to end the day as they play light EDM tunes which tends to get this small party going. This is easily the most Instagram-able après ski scene in Park City (sorry, we had to say it). They exclusively serve bottles and glasses of Veuve and have a small menu with hors d'oeuvres and shareables.

Tip: Keep in mind, this lounge is located at the base of the Montage, so be sure to keep your eye on the clock if you plan to take the chairlift back to Silver Lake or Snow Park Lodge.

Please note the yurt is currently closed due to a gas explosion.

No Name Saloon | Main St. Park City

Probably the most iconic and known bar in town for good reason. This two story authentic saloon has the best bar scene in town from opening to closing (which is essentially all day). With two stories and various rooms, there is a little something for everyone. With shuffle board, an outdoor patio, and TVs to watch your favorite teams, this is the perfect place to grab a seat and stay a while having.

The Corner Store | Park City Mountain Base

Located in the Mountain Village, this spot also has some of the best bar food in town. In the spring they have live music on the patio and can confirm there will be people dancing!

High West Distillery | Main St. Park City

If you've decided to take the ski run into town from Park City Mountain, you'll end up steps away from the distillery. In the winter, guests typically hang in the front patio, which has outdoor heaters, to enjoy a couple drinks before the sun goes down. Head inside to one of their fist come first serve rooms for charcuterie and whiskey tastings - they do not disappoint.

Tip: Since you cannot make reservations, the queue for a seated dinner can get very long; we recommend putting your name in as soon as possible and hosting your own mini bar crawl on Main St. while you wait for your table.

Sticky Wicket | Deer Valley - Royal Street Cafe

This spot is brand spanking new of as Jan 2024! Step back in time to the Golden Era of skiing at the new Royal Street Bar, upstairs at Silver Lake Lodge, to immerse yourself in the rich skiing history. It has a vintage ski atmosphere which celebrates skiing history and ski legends.

Pig Pen Saloon | Park City Mountain Base

This spot is easily accessible by skis and is located at the base of Park City Mountain, specifically the Mountain Village. They have some of the best spiked cocoa that will leave you wishing for more and one of the most expansive menus at an après ski joint which includes: chili cheese fries, pulled pork sandwiches, soups and salads - basically all the yummiest coziest food. On a warm winter day, you'll find even more people out on the deck enjoying the sunset while they sip their drink. It is also perfectly situated a short walk from the busses and accommodations at the base.

The Viking Yurt | Park City Mountain

This may be more of a stop then a destination, but we love it anyways! Situated at the top of Crescent chairlift, you can pull up a chair inside or outside for some beer, wine and fresh made cookies (yes, you read that right!). During lunch, they have a small menu and dinner includes a sleigh ride up the mountain to enjoy their small and private dining area!

Tip: If you wait until all the chairs are just about closed, you'll likely have an almost empty ski run for you and your friends all the way back down to the Mountain Village!

Nightlife

No Name Saloon | Main St. Park City

Like we said - from opening to closing! We'd recommend this spot at any time of day and that's a final.

Tip: The line gets LONG after 10P on weekend nights, so make sure you beat the crowds if you're seeking residency.

The Cabin | Main St. Park City

This spot doubles up as a bar (upstairs) and club (downstairs) - WIN! Depending on the live music act at the basement level, we love this room for a feral night of shots and dancing. You know things are about to get funky in a dark room with neon spotlights.

O’ Shucks Bar & Grill | Main St. Park City

This place will remind you of your favorite dive bar at home but with a *ski aesthetic.* Smaller than the other bars in town, it's a fun place to gather with your friends, play pool, and meet other skiers in town.

Where To Stay

We'd recommend looking at accommodations on any of the bus lines for the easiest way to get around town. Most areas around Park City are within a 10-15 min drive to the base of the resorts which makes it quick and convenient to get to the all the different resort bases.

Getting There

Unless you are driving from a destination within close reach, most people fly into SLC (Salt Lake City International Airport). From the airport, Park City area is roughly a 45-60 minute drive. There are options to rent a car at the airport and many pre-paid and reservation shuttle options to get you into town. We love the shuttle option if you are walking distance to Main St or Deer Valley as the parking at both resorts can get a bit hectic. There is a very reliable bus system in Park City that will get you to and from almost anywhere in town.
